Terms of use

RTK2.ro is free. To keep it available for everyone, the caster automatically blocks connections that load it unnecessarily.

  1. Rovers connect with a valid e-mail address as the username.
  2. Use the exact station name (mountpoint) from the list; it is case-sensitive.
  3. Do not reconnect in a loop: wait at least 10 seconds between attempts.
  4. Base stations must be reserved in your account before the first connection and send RTCM 3 only.
  5. The service is provided “as is”, with no availability guarantee. For critical work, also use a backup source.

When an IP address is blocked

  • 10 failed connections within 10 minutes (non-existent station, no e-mail, wrong password, invalid request).
  • More than 30 connections per minute from the same address.
  • The first block lasts 3 hours; each repeat offence doubles the duration, up to 4 weeks.
  • If the e-mail address used belongs to a confirmed account, you receive an e-mail with the reason (at most one every 6 hours).

What data we keep

For each connection we keep the IP address, the e-mail used, the duration, the data volume and the GGA positions sent by the rover (one position every 30 seconds). They are visible to the station owner and the administration. We do not sell them or use them for any other purpose.
